After the untimely demise of his parents, Australian adolescent Ian Fletcher is sent abroad to live with his awkward-but-earnest Christian godparents. Upon arrival, Ian is bussed off to a backwoods Christian camp to make friends with his future schoolmates. Blessings abound as Ian -- an "unbeliever"-- is thrown into the deep end of religious culture, where he is forced to take part in (and survive) a Biblically-themed Olympiad known as the God Games.
