Shy 17 year-old Alex Martin awaits for his girlfriend at a bus stop, camera in hand, but is hit by a swerving car. He is in a hospital for a year, though rehab and treatment don't help much. Alex gets amnesia and only knows his identity from the name and a camera a nurse gave him. He narrates his experience as he walks through the corridors of school, fascinatingly taking video of everything he sees. As he is too distracted by his camera, Alex bumps into a bully named Daniel who proceeds to talk trash to him. Daniel is confronted by an 18 year old girl, and is told to go away. She talks to Alex and her name is revealed to be Cara. At home, Alex expresses his feelings about Cara on a vlog, then reviews his photos. A photo of Cara from about a year ago appears on screen, and from flashbacks he realized that she is from his past. She is before his amnesia. Alex realizes that she was lying to him. The next day at school Cara tries to talk to Alex, but he ignores her. Alex then notices the bully from before, Daniel, picking on another kid. He steps in to help, but is pushed to the ground and breaks his camera. They are called to the principal's office where Cara confronts Alex. She tells him that it is her fault for his amnesia and that she was sorry. Alex goes on with his life and becomes a famous cinematographer, changing the lives of many.
