After returning from a deployment in Afghanistan, Blake Hanely is tormented by a reoccurring nightmare and flashbacks about an event where he could not save a young girl who was killed in a mortar attack. Suffering from PTSD, he retreats into a bottle of whisky to cope, much to the chagrin of Hannah, his wife, who begs him to talk with someone....anyone. Spiraling down, Blake decides to drink himself into oblivion. As fate would have it, while returning from a resupply run at the liquor store, Blake finds the answer to silencing the dreams that have haunted him since his return home. A stray dog, that becomes his service dog changes his life in immeasurable ways.
