Katy, Gwen and Danielle, are having trouble with their men. For Katy, it's that her commitment phobic boyfriend, Josh, still has not proposed after five years of dating. Meanwhile, Gwen's effeminate fiancee, Michael, is more interested in her wardrobe than having sex. And Danielle's husband Joey is not ready to start a family. The three friends hatch a plan to hire an actor to pose as a couples therapist who will always give them the advice they want. After an exhaustive search they find Dex Everett, the perfect guy to fix their problems. The show is about how an ordinary guy with no formal training is able to solve real relationship issues.
