Welcome to Deloris' and Elroy's world; where flaws are accepted and adored. It is 1953. Deloris is a beautiful, smart but yet timid and nervous woman who meets Elroy; a World War II veteran who is kind, generous, and admires Deloris. Deloris holds a deep down secret that she feels makes her unattractive and causes her to not be able to fall in love. The two meet at a diner where Elroy spots Deloris and is instantly attracted to her. Elroy is deeply passionate about wanting to date Deloris, but she feels her secret will not let her reciprocate the same feeling.
