Campesino
For over a decade, Carl Oelerich has been photographing Cuba, often returning to the same people year after year. We went to get the stories behind the faces. One Photographer's Cuba is a celebration of these people who have inspired Carl over the years. Through the streets of Havana and the tobacco fields of Vinales we are introduced to this wonderful cast of characters whose stories are honest, insightful and extremely amusing. Whether it is the priceless 98 year old (he thinks) farmer, Modesto, who has the best hoot of laughter you've ever heard or zig zagging through the servicemen and women on the parade route during the vibrant May Day parade, this film provides a unique and personal view of Cuba through one photographer's eyes.
