Who really knows your secrets?

Jake is an introvert, illiterate and unable to hold down the most basic of jobs for more than a few days. Unbeknown to those around him, he is also surprisingly intelligent and ingenious, strengths he uses to secretly record the daily movements of his neighbour - the woman he loves, Alice. But Alice lives with her boyfriend, Guy, an undesirable jerk, small-time criminal, and drug pusher. Through the few people with whom Jake interacts, we learn about his life, his menial jobs and struggle to learn to read and write. Events begin to escalate when Jake crosses the line from Alice's voyeur to hands-on manipulation of Guy's illicit dealings. Things come to a head when Alice is assaulted and abducted. After an unconvincing appeal to the Police, Jake decides to right the wrongs in Alice's world in his own ingenious, yet ultimately dangerous, way.
