GOING TO NASHVILLE is a film about a young man, Marc, who does not know how to live his life. His refusal to assume responsibility and pursuit of freedom mean that he doesn't fit anywhere. Marc lives with his girlfriend Celine in a apartment/studio. He has an 'old fashioned' dress sense, is a fan of Oskar Wilde and spends his time taking pictures or hanging around with his friend Alexander. His attempts to earn money constantly fail. When he suddenly inherits a baby after the death of his sister, he is forced to assume responsibility. However, he refuses to change his life and it is Alexander and Celine who became surrogate parents. Finally, Marc understands that there's no place for him in this constellation.
