Brain-Computer Interface: The direct connection to thought

Scientists are able to evaluate the brain activity of a human via EEG signals. But which signals belong to which thought processes? Bernhard Schoelkopf and his team want to decrypt this code and develop powerful brain-computer interfaces. Even completely paralyzed patients should thus be able to communicate with the outside world again.
