A storm engulfs a psychiatric ward where a pregnant woman and a former seaman await their turn to get help enclosed by white drapes. Throughout the afternoon, evening and night they try to entertain each other as they wait for the doctor to show up. What started as a cordial meeting of two depressed souls ends in a heart wrenching admission that has them caught in a conflict. Having been held hostage by the storm during the night they find in each other solace and resolution. As the sun rises in the morning they leave the ward and each other with altered perspectives.
