One Person One Heart
It is a protest against sexual slavery by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. More than 400 people jointed this project to express their views on comfort women. Each of them drew on the image of a Japanese flag and a heart. More than 800 pictures were collected to make this animation, like a heart beating. There are diversified views. Some want justice. Some want peace. Others want to show love to the victims and say 'add oil' to them. Some want the wounds should be allowed to heal, for the sake of a better future. Most people thought the Japanese government should apologize and compensate the victims to show respect for human rights. Some people think it was so ugly to deny the responsibility on the issue of comfort women and the government needs to face the history and the truth. This art work was opened up for the public and different kinds of views co-exist. Thus the project provides a better understanding of the people's views on the subject, to protect human right with love, no hatred.
