Stuck in a hotel at the seaside, Adeline senses the feature film she is shooting won't go back into production due to ongoing complications. She spends her time in the grip of boredom, finally merging with the character she portrays. Soon after recalling the events that led her to Rimini in a two day drive through Europe following a disturbing murder in Berlin, Adeline finds herself on the verge of losing touch with reality, trapped between dreams and fiction.
