Two vagabond lovers navigate the realities of their circumstance. Blake is a young 'shell game' hustler who aspires to be a Shakespearean actor. The more fragile partner in the relationship and consumed by his dreams, he desires more from himself and his life. Zack, the 'shill' in the duo's con, physically and emotionally stronger than Blake, is content with their lives as wayward travelers who have found themselves squatting in an abandoned theater on Coney Island. Sensitive to Blake's dramatic impulses, Zack indulges him by acting out scenes from The Tempest.
