The Judgment tells the darkly comic and nightmarish story of a young merchant named Georg Bendemann. After writing a letter to his mysterious friend one fine morning, Georg has a chat with his seemingly senile father. But Georg soon comes to learn that, just because something seems so, it doesn't follow that it is so.
