Nicholas Staywatch is murdered during the September campaign at the onset of WWII in Poland, but a mysterious anomaly casts him back into the world of the living. Obsessed with vengeful justice, but worn ragged by the endless cycle of death and rebirth, he seeks release with the aid of his psychologist, Sarah Calaise, who slowly begins to expose his guarded history.
