Crosby is swallowed by grief after his wife's suicide a year earlier. But that event opened a small rift in the thin places between worlds on which his apartment sits. At first he's left mementos from those who have slipped to the other side, hoping he'll let their loved ones know they are still alive. And then, one by one, they begin to cross over from the other side, from a place they call Abbadon.
