'Who Counts the Steps of the Sun' is about a woman who likes the night better: 'Have you noticed, at night there are no minutes. The light does not move. It's quiet and the air is totally still. And then, it's no longer about action.' she says one night to a man at a bench. The woman in the film is searching for something. Her everyday life is very much routine and directed from the clock. She starts to question her actions. She opposes the given norms and develops her own systems. Ultimately, even the ticking of the clock she regards as a potentiality and begins to use its rhythm in her own way.
