Sophie Aguiire-Cole, a conflicted Hollywood actress takes some time off the movie making shallow world, escaping to the country side. Her Father, a weathered old-school golden era filmmaker, Jonas Cole finds her after many years of no connection. His excuse to get closer to her, is to offer her the role of Cordelia in what is supposed to be, his legacy film, an adaptation of Shakeaspeare's King Lear.
