When It Breaks is a documentary film that will follow award-winning special needs educator and musician Konrad Wert as he and his family tour the country in an RV. By night, Konrad will plays shows under his band name, Possessed by Paul James. By day, he meets with teachers, parents, and elected officials across America to discuss current issues in special needs education. The project will also look at how the Wert family adjusts to life on the road as they explore their definitions of education, family, community, and home.
