What would you do if you were given a second chance at life? That's the question proposed in Max Martin: Time Investigator, a short thesis film directed by Dan Purcell. The comedy follows Max Martin (Dan Krackhardt), a wise-cracking, yet clumsy private investigator from 1946 who is hot on the trail of a missing artifact stolen from the famous West Museum. However in trying to solve this crime, Max is knocked unconscious and locked in a deli meat freezer, where his body is preserved 70 years into the future. Now transported to the year 2016, Max attempts to try and wrap up the now 'cold case' he was trying to solve back in 1946; though he soon learns that when faced with a big change in one's life, falling back on the one thing that you're 'good' at isn't necessarily the 'right' thing to do.
