The series revolves around 3 freshmen from diverse backgrounds...Chelsea, J-Rock, and Deanna. They are united by one common denominator...Freshmen Year at an HBCU. The concept alone is fresh: black college life. There has not been another sitcom or drama on television since 'A Different World,' that showcases life at a HBCU.
