A Scotsman leaves a will forcing his squabbling family to import a New Orleans band to stage a jazz funeral. In a confusion of races, music, cultures and generations- foes become friends, the family is reunited and everyone learns the wisdom of the jazz funeral: 'let the good times roll.'
