In the country house (dacha) a father and his teenage daughter are living together in an atmosphere of sorrow and sadness - the wife and mother recently died. Around them the cheerful countryside life carries on - teenagers are enjoying summer freedom with friends. The daughter is torn between her father's melancholy and joyful teenagers.
