This weekend is going to be awkward - and it's all Scott's fault.
After getting fired from his job and being dumped, Scott goes on an awkward journey to get his life back together. He travels to the desert and reconnects with his childhood friend, Dan. While staying with his friend, Scott finds out that Dan is an owner of a bed and breakfast that is struggling to stay afloat and also having marital problems with his wife, Liz. Every attempt Scott makes to help his friend or reach out to his recently ex-girlfriend, ends in disaster.
