Amnesia

Two teenage males, Frankie, 'Mr. Perfect,' and Derek, brooding loner, were best friends and neighbors as children but as teenagers they travel in different social circles. Everyone assumes they simply grew apart over time as many do. For these two, it's more complicated. For years these teens co-exist in peace, but when Derek's mother pushes things too far by attempting to bring Derek and Frankie back together, everything changes for the worse. After several attempts from Frankie to reconnect with Derek, Frankie's patience has run out. Frankie looses his cool and attacks Derek. Although Frankie started the fight, Derek ends it, pushing Frankie off the local riverbanks, causing him serious injury and ultimately putting him in a coma. Once Frankie has awakened, he only recalls fragments of his life. He has selective Amnesia. Oddly enough, what he remembers best is his close friendship with Derek during childhood. Now given a second chance in life, Derek decides to play along. To Frankie and the world, he and Derek are best friends, but with Derek knowing the truth, will it last? People say the truth will set you free, but in this case, the truth could get you killed.
