Before the spring of 1994, Suzanne Wade lived an idyllic life with her husband Derick and daughter Rachel. Derick's sudden death brings turmoil and devastation to their lives. Suzanne isn't sure she and Rachel will ever recover from the trauma. Six year old Rachel becomes socially withdrawn and hostile, acting out and attracting attention in all the wrong ways. Enter Slenderman, a towering, faceless being known for abducting vulnerable, troubled children and taking them to the dark, hell-like dimension where he dwells. This chilling, twisted creature feeds on the psychological fear of his victims, only becoming stronger as the toll of missing children grows.Rachel's deteriorating behavior brings her mother to the breaking point. When Suzanne attempts to calm yet another outburst from her disturbed daughter, Slenderman absconds with Rachel in broad daylight. To rescue Rachel, Suzanne must pursue an entity that few acknowledge and almost no one believes is real. With nowhere to turn and little support, Suzanne vows that she won't give up the search for her daughter. Alone, she takes on the legend of Slenderman, fighting to save her daughter between two dimensions.
