Deep in the swamps of Old Mexico, a terrible secret is hiding. 21-year-old Dave Clipton have recently moved into the swampy area of Old Mexico, along with his 7 year old daughter, Maggie. Dave also has two tickets to a full tour of a near-by power plant. But, during the tour, a terrible storm rolls in, shutting down the power, an trapping them in the power plant. Then, they are taken hostage by a group of terrorists lead by Loyd Riger, a 23-year-old cryptozoologist who happens to have captured the legendary El Chupacabra and smuggled inside the power plant. Now, as the storm worsens outside, the Chupacabra escapes, an turns the power plant into a night of terror.
