This film chronicles the experience of people adapting to life with cochlear implants. The implant provides a unique opportunity for deaf people to regain the sense of sound. The sound, however, is completely different than the way typical humans hear, creating an entirely different experience and an often challenging adaptation of process.Through the eyes of three different people at three different stages of life and several experts in the field, the viewer is able to understand this remarkable transition.
