In a war without borders, there is no right or wrong.
"Bloodline" explores the lives of four people each affected in different ways by the slaughter of the rhino in South Africa and the trade in rhino horn. At the center is an eccentric billionaire who inherited his wealth from his grandfather and is running a business in diverse industries from banking to real estate. He sees the lucrative trade opportunities in rhino horn and exotic wildlife and decides to acquire game farms in an unsavory manner. He goes out in a systematic rampage, killing rhinos to gather rhino horn. In another story, are Gabriel (Tariku Bogale) and his wife Logan (Erin Ross), a young, dynamic couple who have dedicated their lives to rhino conservation. After Logan is killed in the crossfire in a fight with poachers, Gabriel is driven to despair, he becomes a self-avenging vigilante, taking the poachers head on. In the Wildlife Crime Unit, a female cop and an American Wildlife and Fisheries officer are sent to a heavy poaching area, setting them on a collision course with Gabriel. A traditional hunter, Abel Grootboom (Matthew Monica), in a quest to save his grandson who is caught up in crime in Soweto township, takes the boy in for the summer holidays. In these multiple worlds are a collision of values, of right and wrong and the shady areas in between. Set against the spectacular backdrop of the African bush, "Bloodline" travels into the heart of darkness of the illegal trade of animals, and celebrates the triumphs of a few enlightened souls who are fighting one of the most horrific, global crimes in the 21st century - the annihilation of this rare species.
