Innocence is no defense... In the city of Belfast in1941, where the men have all gone off to war, lived a mill-girl named Belle, who could tell you the story of a movie better than the screen itself. Into her life strides Gene, a handsome Irish-American student, stranded by the war, who falls in love with Belle, and her gift of telling the pictures: her Scarlett O'Hara, he says, is better than Vivien Leigh's.
