The Sculptress
Inspired by the true-life story of Barbara Hepworth (Cassie Compton). We follow our heroine's journey from traditional to landmark modern artist, fuelled by a turbulent relationship with her muse Ben Nicholson (Tom Lawrence). Set against the looming threat of WW2, the already complex relationship results in a potentially devastating twist. Barbara's voice of reason, friend and confident Margaret Gardiner (Rhiannon Drake) 'Saves the Day' while Herbert Read the enigmatic journalist and mentor becomes instrumental in promoting the 'New Wave' artist.
