Brighton Story

100 years after his death in 1855, lieutenant-colonel John Eld, the third and last Master of Ceremonies (and known in his days as the 'King' of Brighton) returns for one day to his home town - here embodied by actor and narrator Alec Clunes. A lot of contemporary trafical, architectural and other leisurely delights of Brighton are this day being observed and reflected through the rather personal perspective of this Regency era gentleman.
