Homecoming

In 1984 Jon Macht directed his second science fiction film at the University of Southern California graduate school of Cinema Television titled Homecoming. Macht wrote the dramatic screenplay and story. Macht directed the film with actors and a crew on location at Rockwell International Space Center in the actual NASA space shuttle simulator and space mission command center. Visual effects were created by Macht and his fellow students including M. David Mullen, ASC, Christopher Dray Dawson and Peter Montgomery. Mullen would go on to become a well known Hollywood cinematographer on 65 movies and television series including Westworld and for multiple Steven Spielberg produced series. Dawson became a well known visual effects artist on 110 movies including Titanic, Armageddon and Bladerunner 2049. Macht has worked in all aspects of movie and television production for the last 35+ years and is writing, directing and producing in Hollywood today.
