Deborah Viegas

Deborah Viegas (born 1993) is a Brazilian director, writer and editor. She has directed three short films to this date "A casa cinza e as montanhas verdes" (2016), "São Paulo com Daniel" (2015) and "Kyoto" (2014). Her films have been screened and awarded in a number of festivals around the world such as Internacional Film Festival Rotterdam and International Short Film Festival Oberhausen as well as featured in film and art publications such as Cahiers du Cinéma and Artforum. She also often collaborates with other artists as a screenwriter and editor. Her personal work focus in the investigation of the individual's place in a post-industrial society and how affections are shaped amidst civilisation and human nature.
